New Years is long gone, and it’s suddenly already the end of May. Memorial weekend is quickly approaching, and you have no idea how you are going to prepare for the upcoming summer festivities. So now you are stuck wondering, how on earth did I let 4 months pass and what do I do now to get into shape? Don’t worry! There is still time to get it together! Check out these tips to get on the fast track to a sexier you.
1. Clean out your pantry
You can’t be tempted to eat something if it’s not there. Normally I am not a fan of wasting food, but if it’s not adding nutrition to your diet then do you really want it in the first place? I’m sure you do but just bare with me here… As you start to replace the non-nutritional snacks with healthier ones, your body becomes accustomed to them, and you actually start to crave those healthier foods. Whoot!
2. Do some research on snacks you might actually like
Who says you have to eat salad for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Look up healthy snacks online, and see what you may be interested in. Maybe you like smoothies, or avocado and toast, or even apples with peanut butter (my fav!). Don’t be quick to knock something until you try it. You never know what you might discover. You might also be surprised to see your energy levels increase simply from the foods you eat. Who needs coffee now?
Find your favorite types of cardio and sweat it out! I love cardio! If you don’t you probably do – but just haven’t found your thing. Look into it, and try to get some cardio in 3 to 4 times a week to get started. Cardio is a great fast way to get into shape! For cardio ideas click here!
4. Make a promise to yourself
Sounds cheesy, but it’s key. Working on your mental strength is a great way to earn higher confidence. When you promise yourself to live a healthier lifestyle and get into shape, it trickles out into other areas of your life. You’ll feel more powerful, and proud to be breaking your own mental blocks. It will be more about proving to yourself that you can do it as opposed to just “looking good”. This is a perfect way to make a habit stick!
